July Update: No Signs of Slowing Down!
July is typically a time to slow down—regroup, plan, and recruit for the new season. This year, we did all that… minus the slowing down (happy days)!
Arena Crew
We had some incredible names hit the stage at both BP Pulse Live and Utilita Arena Birmingham—Billy Ocean, ELO, Ricky Gervais, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and the showstopper himself, Drake. From staging and crowd barriers to seating and draping, our crew was right there making it all happen.
Exhibition Crew
We were thrilled to team up once again with Pendigo Events to deliver the setup for Strength in Depth, including building the tribune seating.
We also partnered with Monopoly Events for the first time, bringing Comic Con to life at the NEC. What a joy to collaborate with their team—here’s hoping it’s the start of many more to come!
New Locations
Over at The Mailbox in Birmingham city centre, we worked alongside the fantastic Taylex team, providing a scissor lift driver to support the creation of the art installation “On Cloud 9” and the Adidas and Jude Bellingham pop-up store activation —go team Taylex!
New Ventures
Back at home base, the NEC, we partnered with British Weightlifting to supply two desk operatives. They were responsible for welcoming athletes, coaches, VIPs, and Technical Officials—from registration to wristband distribution for venue access.
Sport Flooring
As the month started with the epic, history-making Season Closer for the Netball Super League season, where our team had the pleasure of installing the sport flooring for.
We wrapped up the month with our annual visit to the University of Birmingham to support the YONEX All England Junior Championships. Always a highlight, and a proud moment to contribute to such a prestigious event.
July might be known for slowing down, but our team kept the momentum rolling—from arenas to exhibitions, pop-ups to championships. A huge thank you to our amazing crew and all our partners who made it another standout month. August, we’re ready for you!
